EXCHANGE - KELLER MAGNOLIA 138 KV TRANSMISSION LINE PROJECT

For Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC (“Oncor”) to continue to provide safe and reliable electric service in the North Texas area, a new 138 kV transmission line must be built, from near the existing Keller Magnolia Substation, located near the southeast intersection of Interstate Highway 35W and State Highway 170, and then to the proposed Exchange Switch, which will be located approximately 0.1 miles northeast of the Alliance Substation. All project endpoints will be in the City of Fort Worth.

 

Voltage and Structure Type - The project includes a new 138 kV transmission line, constructed on steel or concrete monopoles.

Exchange to Roanoke 345/138 kV Transmission Line Project

In order to ensure it can continue to provide safe and reliable electric service in this area, Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC (“Oncor”) is proposing a re-build of an existing 345 kilovolt (kV) double-circuit transmission line, including the addition of a new 138 kV circuit (the “Project”), all within Oncor’s existing right-of-way area. The Project will extend from the proposed Exchange Switch, which will be located southeast of the intersection of Interstate Highway 35W and State Highway 170 in Tarrant County, northeast to the existing Roanoke Switch, located north of State Highway 170, east of the intersection of Henrietta Creek Road and Chaparral Lane in Denton County.   

 

The proposed project will be approximately 3.5 miles in length and is currently planned for completion in 2025.

 

Voltage and Structure Type – The rebuild will replace each existing double-circuit lattice tower structure with two monopole structures. One monopole structure will accommodate an existing 345 kV circuit and a new 138 kV circuit.  The other monopole structure will accommodate the second existing 345 kV circuit and include a vacant position for a future 138 kV circuit.

Wofford POI to Berryville POD 138kV Transmission Line Project

For Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC (“Oncor”) to continue to provide safe and reliable electric service in the area, a new transmission line must be constructed between the proposed Wofford Point of Interconnection (POI) and the proposed Berryville Point of Delivery (POD). The proposed Wofford POI will be located approximately 0.8 miles east of Frankston, Texas, and served by an adjacent proposed switching station to be built by Rayburn Country Electric Cooperative. The proposed Berryville POD will be located roughly 0.1 miles west of Lake Palestine and 1.1 miles south of Berryville, Texas, serving an adjacent customer substation. The proposed project would construct a new single-circuit, 138 kV transmission line approximately 2.0 miles in length, if approved by the Public Utility Commission of Texas (“PUCT”). The Proposed Transmission Line Project is currently planned for completion in 2025.

 

Voltage and Structure Type - The project includes a new single-circuit 138 kV transmission line constructed on steel monopoles.

Reiter Switch - Tesoro Switch 345-kV Transmission Line Project

For Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC (“Oncor”) to continue to provide safe and reliable electric service in the area, a new transmission line must be constructed between Oncor’s planned Reiter Switch in Ector County and Oncor’s existing Tesoro Switch in Midland County. The location of the planned Reiter Switch is approximately 1.2 miles north of the intersection of State Highway (“SH”) Loop 338 and Farm-to-Market Road (“FM”) 3503, south of Odessa, Texas. The Tesoro Switch is located approximately 1.5 miles southeast of the intersection of Interstate Highway (“IH”) 20 and SH Loop 338 near Odessa, Texas. The Proposed Transmission Line Project includes modifications to the existing 345 kV switchyard at Tesoro Switch. The proposed project would construct a new, double-circuit 345 kV transmission line approximately 4.0 to 5.2 miles in length, to be built on double-circuit lattice steel towers, between Oncor’s planned Reiter Switch in Ector County and Oncor’s existing Tesoro Switch in Midland County. The Proposed Transmission Line Project is currently planned for completion in December 2026.

 

 

Voltage and Structure Type - The project includes a new, double-circuit 345 kV transmission line to be built on double-circuit lattice steel towers.

Riverton to Sand Lake 138 kV Transmission Line Project

 

For Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC (“Oncor”) to continue to provide safe and reliable electric service in the area, a new transmission line must be constructed between Oncor’s existing Riverton Switch in Reeves County and the existing Sand Lake Switch in Ward County. The Riverton Switch is located approximately three miles southeast of Orla, Texas. The Sand Lake Switch is located approximately six miles northeast of Pecos, Texas. The proposed transmission line project will be approximately 39.5 miles long and parallel an existing Oncor 345 kV transmission line within existing right-of-way, if approved by the Public Utility Commission of Texas (“PUCT”). The Proposed Transmission Line Project is currently planned for completion in 2026.

 

Voltage and Structure Type - The project includes a new double-circuit 138 kV transmission line constructed on steel monopoles.

Watermill Switch to Wilmer Switch 345 kV Transmission Line Project

For Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC (“Oncor”) to continue to provide safe and reliable electric service in the area, it proposes to construct a 345 kilovolt (kV) transmission line project connecting Oncor’s existing Watermill Switch to its proposed Wilmer Switch (Project).  The Project will involve rebuilding and constructing transmission facilities in south Dallas County between the Watermill Switch, located approximately 3.5 miles west of the intersection of Interstate Highway 45 and Malloy Bridge Road, and the Wilmer Switch, located approximately 0.25 miles east of the intersection of Mason Road and Van Road. The rebuild portion of the Project will be entirely contained within Oncor’s existing right-of-way and the proposed transmission line project will be approximately 4-6 miles depending on the route if approved by the Public Utility Commission of Texas (“PUCT”). The Proposed Transmission Line Project is currently planned for completion in 2026.

 

Voltage and Structure Type – The rebuild portion of the Project will replace the existing double-circuit lattice tower configuration with two monopole structures.  Each monopole structure will accommodate one circuit of the existing double-circuit 345 kV transmission line and the proposed project would connect one circuit of the proposed double-circuit 345 kV transmission line from the Watermill Switch to the proposed Wilmer Switch.

Drill Hole Switch to El Capitan Switch 345 kV Transmission Line Project

For Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC (“Oncor”) to continue to provide safe and reliable electric service in the area, it proposes to construct a 345 kilovolt (kV) transmission line project connecting Oncor’s existing Drill Hole Switch to its proposed El Capitan Switch (Project).  Oncor’s existing Drill Hole Switch is located approximately 4 miles west of US 285 near the Culberson County/Reeves County Line, and Oncor’s proposed El Capitan Switch if approved, will be located approximately 18 miles to the southwest. Both Project endpoints are in Culberson County, Texas. the proposed transmission line project will be approximately 21-32 miles depending on the route if approved by the Public Utility Commission of Texas (“PUCT”). The Proposed Transmission Line Project is currently planned for completion in 2027.

 

Voltage and Structure Type – The project includes a new double-circuit capable 345 kV transmission line constructed on self-supporting, steel lattice towers.

Redland – Longleaf 345 kV Transmission Line Project

For Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC (“Oncor”) to continue to provide safe and reliable electric service in the area, it proposes to construct a new single-circuit 345 kV transmission line to be built on single-circuit, monopole structures between the Oncor Redland Switch and the Longleaf Point of Intersection (POI), both located in Angelina County. The Oncor Redland Switch, located approximately 2.7 miles east of United States Highway 59 (US 59), will serve the proposed Longleaf POI located approximately 1 mile to the east-southeast of the Oncor Redland Switch. The Proposed Transmission Line Project is currently planned for completion in April 2026.

 

Voltage and Structure Type - The project includes a single-circuit 345 kV transmission line, constructed on steel monopoles structures.

Border Switch - Clearfork Switch 345 kV Transmission Line Project

For Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC (“Oncor”) to continue to provide safe and reliable electric service in the area, it proposes to construct a new, double-circuit 345 kV transmission line to be built on double-circuit steel lattice tower structures, between Oncor’s planned Border Switch in Loving County and Oncor’s existing Clearfork Switch in Andrews County, Texas.  Oncor’s planned Border Switch will be located approximately 6 miles south of the Texas-New Mexico border and 7 miles southeast of the intersection of Ranch-to-Market (“RM”) 652 and County Road (“CR”) 300.  Oncor’s existing Clearfork Switch is located approximately 2 miles southwest of the intersection of State Highway (“SH”) 115 and Farm-to-Market Road (“FM”) 181. The length of the Proposed Transmission Line Project is approximately 58.2 to 77.4 miles, depending on which route is selected by the Public Utility Commission of Texas (“PUC” or “Commission”). The Proposed Transmission Line Project is currently planned for completion in 2028.

 

Voltage and Structure Type – The project includes a new double-circuit capable 345 kV transmission line constructed on self-supporting, steel lattice towers.

Drill Hole Switch - Border Switch 345 Kv Transmission Line Project

For Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC (“Oncor”) to continue to provide safe and reliable electric service in the area, Oncor proposes to build a new 345 kilovolt (kV) transmission line between Oncor’s existing Drill Hole Switch and Oncor’s planned Border Switch (Project).  The Drill Hole 345 kV switchyard is located in Culberson County, Texas, near the terminus of County Road 454 approximately 6 miles west of US 285 near the Culberson County/Reeves County Line.  Oncor’s Border Switch will be located approximately 7 miles southeast of the intersection of Ranch-to-Market 652 and County Road 300 in Loving County, Texas, The proposed transmission line will originate in northeast Culberson County and will cross through the northwestern portion of Reeves County into north-central Loving County, Texas. The length of the Project is approximately 34.4 to 39.1 miles, depending on the route selected by the Public Utility Commission of Texas (“Commission” or “PUC”).The Project is currently planned for completion in 2028.

 

Voltage and Structure Type – The project includes a new double-circuit capable 345 kV transmission line constructed steel lattice towers.

Drill Hole Switch - Riverton Switch 345 kV Transmission Line Project

For Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC (“Oncor”) to continue to provide safe and reliable electric service in the area, it proposes to build a 345 kilovolt (kV) transmission line between Drill Hole Switch and Oncor’s existing Riverton Switch (Project). The Drill Hole Switch is located in Culberson County, Texas, near the terminus of County Road (CR) 454 approximately 6 miles west of US 285 near the Culberson County/Reeves County Line.  Oncor’s existing Riverton Switch is located adjacent to CR 440, approximately 2 miles east of US 285 in Reeves County, Texas. The proposed transmission line project will be approximately 18 miles depending on the route if approved by the Public Utility Commission of Texas (“PUCT”). The Proposed Transmission Line Project is currently planned for completion in 2028.

 

Voltage and Structure Type – The project includes a new double-circuit capable 345 kV transmission line constructed on self-supporting, steel lattice towers.

Glaze Lake 138 KV Loop Transmission Line Project

Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC (Oncor) has applied to amend its certificate of convenience and necessity to construct, own, and operate a new, double-circuit 138 kV loop transmission line to be built on double-circuit steel monopoles between Oncor’s existing Jewett Switch – Crockett Switch 138 kV Line and the proposed Glaze Lake Switch. Between the proposed Glaze Lake Switch and the proposed 138 kV point of interconnection (“POI”) for the proposed Leon Solar Park generation facility (“Leon Solar POI”), Oncor will construct double-circuit, 138 kV capable steel monopoles, with one 138 kV circuit installed initially.

 

The proposed loop location along Oncor’s existing Jewett Switch – Crockett Switch 138 kV Line, where the project commences, is located approximately 2.1 miles east of the intersection of State Highway (“SH”) 7 and Farm to Market Road (“FM”) 542 in Leon County, Texas. The proposed Glaze Lake Switch property is located approximately 0.13 miles northeast of the intersection of FM 542 and County Road (“CR”) 250. The proposed Leon Solar POI will be located approximately 0.4 miles northeast of the proposed Glaze Lake Switch. The project is approximately 9.7 miles in length between the loop location on Oncor’s existing Jewett Switch – Crockett Switch 138 kV Line and the proposed Glaze Lake Switch, and it is approximately 0.4 miles in length between the proposed Glaze Lake Switch and the proposed Leon Solar POI and constructed entirely within right-of-way that has already been acquired for this project, if approved by the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUC). The proposed project is currently planned for completion in November 2025.

Division 138 kV Transmission Line Project

Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC (Oncor) proposes to construct a new double-circuit 138 kilovolt (kV) transmission line within the cities of Arlington and Grand Prairie, Texas. The proposed transmission line will begin at Oncor’s proposed Division Substation, to be located southwest of Division Street and Stadium Drive. From that location, the proposed transmission line will extend east to an intermediate point along the existing Executive Parkway Switch–Sherry Switch transmission line located between the proposed Division Substation and State Highway (SH) 360. The proposed transmission line will then follow this existing transmission line corridor to the north of Division Street, before continuing eastward to a potential endpoint along the existing Liggett Switch–Cedar Hill Switch 138 kV transmission line, located east of SH 360. The exact locations of the intermediate point along the Executive Parkway Switch–Sherry Switch transmission line and of the eastern endpoint along the Liggett Switch–Cedar Hill Switch transmission line will be subject to selection and approval by the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT).

Voltage and Structure Type – The project includes a new double-circuit 138 kV transmission line, constructed on steel monopole structures.

Border Switch – Quarry Field Switch 345 kV Transmission Line Project

Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC (Oncor) has applied to amend its certificate of convenience and necessity to construct, own, and operate a new, double-circuit 345 kilovolt (“kV”) transmission line to be built on double-circuit steel lattice towers between Oncor’s planned Border Switch in Loving County and Oncor’s existing Quarry Field Switch in Loving County.  The planned Border Switch will be located approximately 7 miles southeast of the intersection of Ranch-to-Market (“RM”) 652 and County Road (“CR”) 300.  The Quarry Field Switch is located approximately 9 miles south of the planned Border Switch.  The length of the project is approximately 10.2 to 16.1 miles, depending on which route is selected by the Public Utility Commission of Texas (the “Commission” or “PUC”).

 

Voltage and Structure Type – The project includes a new double-circuit 345 kV transmission line, constructed on steel tower structures.

Longshore Switch – Drill Hole Switch 765 KV Transmission Line Project

For Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC (“Oncor”) to continue to provide safe and reliable electric service in the area, it proposes to build a new 765 kilovolt (kV) transmission line between the expansion of Oncor’s existing Longshore Switch and the expansion of Oncor’s existing Drill Hole Switch (Project). The Longshore Switch is located approximately 4.5 miles west of the City of Forsan in Howard County. The Drill Hole Switch is located 6 miles west of US 285 near the Culberson County/Reeves County Line. The proposed transmission line project will be approximately 160 miles depending on the route if approved by the Public Utility Commission of Texas (“PUCT”). The Proposed Transmission Line Project is currently planned for completion in 2029.

 

Voltage and Structure Type – The project includes a new 765 kV transmission line constructed on self-supporting, steel lattice towers.

On May 09, 2025, notice of public meeting was published in Andrews County News, and Big Spring Herald. On May 10, 2025, notice of public meeting was published in the Odessa American.

Rockhound Switch - Connell Switch 345 kV Transmission Line Project

To continue to provide safe and reliable electric service in this area, Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC (Oncor) is proposing to construct a double-circuit 345 kilovolt (kV) transmission line, with both circuits operational, between Oncor’s existing Rockhound Switch, located approximately 10 miles east of the City of Midland and approximately 0.7 mile south of I-20, to Oncor’s proposed Connell Switch, which would be located approximately 4 miles northeast of the City of Midland and approximately 1 mile west of FM 1212. The Proposed Transmission Line Project is currently planned for completion in 2026.

 

 

Voltage and Structure Type – The project includes a new double-circuit capable 345 kV transmission line constructed on self-supporting, monopole structures.

Dinosaur - Longshore 765 kV Transmission Line Project

For Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC (“Oncor”) to continue to provide safe and reliable electric service in the area, it proposes to construct a new 765 kilovolt (kV) transmission line from Oncor’s proposed Dinosaur Switch, located approximately 3 miles north of the City of Glen Rose in Somervell County, to Oncor’s existing Longshore Switch located approximately 4.5 miles west of the City of Forsan in Howard County, Texas (Project). The proposed transmission line project will be approximately 235-270 miles long depending on the route if approved by the Public Utility Commission of Texas (“PUCT”). The Proposed Transmission Line Project is currently planned for completion in 2028.

Big Hill Switch to Sand Lake Switch 765 kV

For Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC (“Oncor”) and Lower Colorado River Authority Transmission Services Corp. (“LCRA TSC”) to continue to provide safe and reliable electric service in this area, a new 765 kV transmission line is needed. The Project would connect a new LCRA TSC 765 kV Big Hill Substation, located in close proximity to LCRA TSC’s existing Big Hill 345 kV Substation 13 miles northeast of the City of Eldorado in Schleicher County, Texas, and the expansion of Oncor’s existing Sand Lake Switch, located 6 miles northeast of the City of Pecos in Ward County, Texas. The Proposed Transmission Line Project is currently planned for completion in summer 2030.

The Project would connect a new LCRA TSC 765 kV Big Hill Substation, located in close proximity to LCRA TSC’s existing Big Hill 345 kV Substation 13 miles northeast of the City of Eldorado in Schleicher County, Texas, and the expansion of Oncor’s existing Bell County East Switch, located 5.5 miles southeast of the City of Temple in Bell County, Texas. The Proposed Transmission Line Project is currently planned for completion in summer 2030.

Ranger Camp to Tonkawa 345 kV Transmission Line Project

For Oncor to continue to provide safe and reliable electric service in this area, Oncor proposes to construct a new 345 kilovolt (kV) transmission line project, approximately 1.27 miles in length, to facilitate the retermination of an existing Oncor transmission line into Oncor’s existing Ranger Camp Switch. Oncor also proposes to add an additional circuit, approximately 22 miles in length between the existing Ranger Camp Switch and the existing Tonkawa Switch in Mitchell and Scurry Counties. The Proposed Transmission Line Project is currently planned for completion in summer 2027.

 

Voltage and Structure Type – The project includes a new 345 kV Double Circuit Transmission Line, approximately 1.27 miles in length. The structure will be constructed on self-supporting, steel lattice towers and steel monopole structures. Oncor also proposes to add an additional circuit approximately 22 miles, between the existing Ranger Camp and Tonkawa Transmission line.

Oak Spring to WASP 138kV Transmission Line Project

For Oncor to continue to provide safe and reliable electric service in this area, Oncor proposes a new transmission line project to construct a 138 kilovolt (kV) transmission line between Oncor’s planned Oak Spring Switch, located approximately 2 miles southeast of the City of Roscoe, and Oncor’s proposed WASP Substation, located along Farm-to-Market Road (FM) 608 in Nolan County, Texas. The transmission line will be approximately 15 miles in length. The Proposed Transmission Line Project is currently planned for completion in Fall 2027.

 

Voltage and Structure Type – The project includes a new 138 kV Double Circuit Transmission Line, approximately 15 miles in length. The structure will be constructed on self-supporting monopole structures.
