To continue to provide safe and reliable electric service in this area, Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC (Oncor) proposes to rebuild the existing Consavvy Switch – Long Creek Switch 345 kV transmission line. The proposed transmission line will be rebuilt adjacent to the existing transmission line in Glasscock, Howard, Jones, Midland, Mitchell, Nolan and Shackelford counties. Oncor’s Consavvy Switch is located approximately 5.0 miles southeast of the intersection of Interstate Highway (IH) 20 and State Highway (SH) 158 in Midland County; and the Long Creek Switch is located approximately 5.4 miles northeast of the intersection of Farm-to-Market (FM) 604 and SH 351 in Shackelford County. The Project is currently planned for completion in 2028.
Voltage and Structure Type – The project includes a new 345 kV Double Circuit Transmission Line, approximately 149 miles in length. The project will be constructed on self-supporting monopole structures.
