Our commitment to over 410 cities reflects our belief that strong, resilient communities are essential to economic growth and future success for our state. Throughout the year, more than 5,500 employees volunteer alongside community partners, supporting organizations that address local needs while helping communities prepare for tomorrow. Together, we proudly serve the 14 million Texans who depend on us every day, creating meaningful impact and a culture of service that continues to grow with every opportunity we take to give back.

American Heart Association

American Heart Association (AHA)

For more than 14 years, Oncor has supported AHA’s annual Heart Walk. Since 2012, our combined efforts have contributed more than $9.6 million for education, research, and other AHA programs that combat heart disease and stroke. In addition, Oncor’s CEO Allen Nye served as chair of the 2024 Dallas Heart Challenge campaign, leading a team of 12 Dallas executives as part of the annual Heart Walk campaign and celebration.

United Way

Oncor hosts an annual month-long employee giving campaign with United Way to help support the creation and maintenance of programs that strengthen education, income, and health across Texas. Our annual Volunteer Week also takes place at this time, giving employees additional opportunities to actively support their local communities. Over the years, our employee-run United Way volunteer team has helped raise more than $600,000 through employee giving and Oncor’s employer match, as well as fundraisers.

Oncor Kid's Race

Annually, Oncor sponsors one of the nation’s largest free running events for kids. The race, which is held in downtown Dallas, brings together thousands of young participants from Dallas ISD to promote physical activity and a healthy lifestyle. Team Oncor employees, family members, and friends join the fun, running with the students, and handing out giveaways at the finish line.

Oncor employees have formed 20 Oncor Cares Community Councils across our service territory. These voluntary employee groups
focus on identifying local community organizations and causes to support through volunteer opportunities and fundraisers.

Oncor Super Safe Kids

Oncor Super Safe Kids

Oncor’s award-winning Super Safe Kids Program continues to tour Texas classrooms and enhance electric safety education for Texas students. The program has reached over 160,00 students at 64 different school districts with more than 300 events hosted. The 40-minute interactive session uses memorable songs, hands-on activities, and unforgettable demonstrations to teach elementary students how to stay safe around electricity. With lessons on what to do in electrical emergencies – from power outages to lightning storms to downed power lines – the show promotes respect for electricity and knowledge of how to stay out of danger.

Oncor’s Secondary Education Outreach Program connects students to classroom instruction, hands-on field experience, and job-ready skills for a career in the electric utility sector.

Texas Parks and Wildlife

TEXAS PARKS AND WILDLIFE

Oncor is in ongoing collaboration with the Texas Park & Wildlife Department to increase awareness around boating safety and the power lines that cross over Texas lakes. Oncor has installed safety signs at lakes within its service territory and provided training modules that includes power line safety guidance as part of state boater education certification.

ASK ONCOR

The Ask Oncor mobile exhibit, a long-running traveling community outreach program, connects Oncor directly with customers. These local events provide education on topics such as system operations, storm preparedness, energy efficiency, and safety while offering opportunities to talk to our team. Oncor supplements this direct engagement with established feedback channels, including dedicated Area Managers, digital platforms, and local stakeholder interactions, ensuring that community concerns are documented, addressed, and incorporated into operational planning.
