RESIDENTIAL SOLAR

OVERVIEW

Receive incentive when you install a solar photovoltaic system and power your home with a natural, renewable source of energy. For a quick overview and helpful tips, watch the Rooftop Solar video.

RESIDENTIAL SOLAR PROGRAM

Through the Residential Solar Program, qualifying customers can save on the installation of photovoltaic systems with energy storage back-up, through incentives Oncor pays to approved participating service providers. These residential programs typically run from February through November each year.

See If You Qualify

To qualify for incentives, Homes must have Oncor as their electric delivery provider. The incentive is dependent on the size, azimuth and other factors of the installed system. Your selected service provider will help calculate your incentives. Contact your retail electric provider for information about any credit you could qualify for based on any excess generation your system may produce.

The solar photovoltaic system must meet the following requirements:

  • System must be new. Sites with existing solar arrays are not eligible to participate in the program.
  • Must install with an energy storage back-up system.
  • The customer must sign an Interconnection Agreement with Oncor.
  • Maximum system size is 15 kW DC.
