LOAD MANAGEMENT

RESIDENTIAL LOAD MANAGEMENT PROGRAM

Through the Residential Load Management Program, you can save money and lower energy usage during occasional periods when energy demand is unusually high during the summer months. The summer on-peak demand period falls between 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Central Standard Time, Monday through Friday, June through September, excluding weekends and federal holidays.

See If You Qualify

To qualify for the program, your home must be located in Oncor’s service area and receive electricity from an Oncor meter.

The residence must have a smart thermostat installed that can be controlled remotely by the Retail Electric Providers in the event that demand needs to be reduced.

For Oncor’s load management program, Retail Electric Providers will not receive incentives for control of the thermostat outside of high-demand period.

Participating Retail Electric Providers must have customer authorization for release of demand data through terms of service agreements, contract language, or a letter of authorization.

After you enroll with the thermostat manufacturer, REP, or their sponsoring business partner, they should submit your information to Oncor before the Residential Load Management Program opens. This program runs from June 1 through September 30, annually.
