DALLAS, January 2, 2026 – Oncor has recently announced three new Senior Vice Presidents. Ellen Buck has been named Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President, Wes Speed has been named Senior Vice President, Transmission, and Daniel Hall has been named Senior Vice President, Distribution. Buck’s role of COO succeeds Jim Greer, who has retired from Oncor after more than 41 years of excellent service and leadership at the company. Hall’s role over distribution will succeed Keith Hull, who is also retiring from Oncor in early 2026, after 44 years of safe and dedicated service.

Ellen Buck has served in various leadership and engineering roles in her 20 years at Oncor, including overseeing distribution and transmission planning, transmission engineering, transmission operations, maintenance, and supply chain activities. Buck has served on multiple nonprofit boards and has been heavily involved in various employee recruiting and development programs at Oncor. She obtained her bachelor of science degree in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, and earned her MBA with a concentration in Entrepreneurship and Strategy from Southern Methodist University.
Wes Speed has worked at Oncor for more than 35 years in various engineering, operations and leadership capacities, including Transmission Engineering, Transmission Operations, System Protection, and T&D Asset Management. He has overseen some of the largest transmission expansion programs in our company's history and has supported the establishment of a number of Oncor employee recruiting, development, and leadership programs. Speed received a bachelor of science in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University.
Daniel Hall has held a variety of positions throughout his more than 25 years at Oncor, including leadership roles within Measurement Services, Revenue Management, Transmission Engineering, Distribution Program Office, Distribution Construction Services, T&D Vegetation Management, Fleet Management, Emergency Preparedness/Mutual Assistance, and Information Technology. Hall is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a bachelor of science in Engineering & Technology.
