Herty North - Lufkin Switch 345 kV Transmission Project
As Texas continues to grow at a brisk pace, it is important to take steps to ensure that a reliable and secure electric system is in place to support electric load. Specifically, Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC (“Oncor”) proposes to construct a 345 kV double circuit electric transmission line connecting the existing Herty North Switching Station in northern Angelina County with the existing Lufkin Switching Station located north of Lufkin. One circuit will initially be installed. The proposed line will be approximately ten miles in length and is needed to ensure continued reliable service to existing and future consumers in the area.
- Voltage and Structure Type - The project is proposed to be a 345 kV transmission line constructed on Lattice Steel V Towers.
