Energy Efficiency Programs

Oncor is committed to helping Texans become more energy-efficient. As part of that commitment, Oncor operates some of the leading energy efficiency programs in the state. Oncor offers a variety of incentive programs for homes, businesses, government, schools and nonprofits. Consumers can reduce their energy usage by implementing the measures recommended through these programs.

To help encourage energy efficiency, Oncor is getting the message out through Take A Load Off, Texas®, a consumer outreach program designed to educate residential and commercial consumers in Oncor’s service area on how to “take a load off” the power grid. Take A Load Off, Texas includes a mobile exhibit which travels throughout Oncor’s service area with interactive displays and information on items such as lighting, solar power, appliances, air conditioning and insulation. The program began as a pilot in 2007, and since its inception, Oncor has reached more than 4 million consumers through media and special events.
