National Arbor Day Foundation Recognizes Oncor Electric Delivery

Oncor was recognized on April 27th, 2007 for the seventh straight year as a Tree Line USA Utility. This award, presented by the Texas Forest Service in Austin at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, recognizes Oncor for its leadership in quality tree care practices, annual training in caring for trees, quality-trained employees and public education programs for 2006. Gary White and Ken Kinsey, vegetation management program managers, accepted the award for Oncor.

Oncor Earns EPA ENERGY STAR Sustained Excellence Award for Fifth Year

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency awarded Oncor a 2007 ENERGY STAR Sustained Excellence Award on March 21, 2007 in recognition of its continued leadership in protecting the environment through energy efficiency.

Oncor, an ENERGY STAR partner since 2001, was honored for its long-term commitment to energy efficiency through one of the largest new home certification programs in the state. Since 2001, Oncor has certified more than 38,100 Energy Star homes. Across the U.S., top companies and organizations are continuing to promote energy efficiency through participation in ENERGY STAR. Last year alone, Americans with the help of ENERGY STAR, saved $14 billion on their energy bills and reduced greenhouse gas emissions equivalent to those of more than 25 million vehicles.
