AS A REGISTERED PARTICIPANT IN THE MY ONCOR ALERTS PROGRAM (“MY ONCOR ALERTS”) SPONSORED BY ONCOR ELECTRIC DELIVERY COMPANY LLC (“ONCOR”) YOU WILL HAVE THE ABILITY TO RECEIVE UPDATES VIA TEXT MESSAGE, EMAIL AND/OR VOICE ALERTS ABOUT ANY OF YOUR OPEN SERVICE REQUESTS AND COMMUNICATIONS REGARDING ELECTRIC SERVICE DISRUPTION.

BY REGISTERING FOR ONCOR ALERTS OR BY USING MY ONCOR ALERTS AT ANY TIME, YOU ARE AGREEING TO THE MY ONCOR ALERTS TERMS AND CONDITIONS SET FORTH BELOW (“TERMS AND CONDITIONS”). THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS MAY CHANGE FROM TIME TO TIME, AND WE WILL POST ANY UPDATED TERMS AND CONDITIONS HERE.  

TO PARTICIPATE VIA TEXT MESSAGE, YOUR PHONE MUST BE ENABLED FOR TEXT MESSAGING. TO PARTICIPATE VIA EMAIL, YOU MUST HAVE A VALID EMAIL ADDRESS.  MESSAGE AND DATA RATES MAY APPLY.  ALERT FREQUENCY MAY VARY DEPENDING ON OUTAGE ACTIVITY.

UNSUBSCRIBING FROM MY ONCOR ALERTS

YOU HAVE THE ABILITY TO UNSUBSCRIBE, OPT-OUT OR CANCEL YOUR PARTICIPATION IN MY ONCOR ALERTS AT ANY TIME BY: VISITING WWW.ONCOR.COM OR CALLING 1.888.313.6862. IF YOU ARE REGISTERED TO RECEIVE ONCOR ALERTS VIA TEXT, YOU HAVE THE ABILITY TO CANCEL YOUR PARTICIPATION BY TEXTING “STOP” TO 66267 (ONCOR). IF YOU SUBSCRIBE TO EMAIL ALERTS, YOU MAY ALSO CANCEL YOUR PARTICIPATION BY CLICKING ON THE “UNSUBSCRIBE” LINK AT THE BOTTOM OF AN ONCOR ALERTS EMAIL SENT TO YOUR REGISTERED EMAIL ADDRESS. IF YOU ARE A RECIPIENT OF VOICE NOTIFICATIONS, YOU WILL HAVE THE ABILITY TO UNSUBSCRIBE BY DIALING 2 DURING A NOTIFICATION CALL.

1. Cost of Participation

While My Oncor Alerts is complimentary and requires no purchase or fee for participation, message, voice and data rates may apply and may be billed on your phone bill or deducted from your prepaid balance.  Check with your carrier for details.  Message frequency may vary depending on outage activity.  Customers of Oncor may receive proactive notifications when a power outage affects their account. 

2. User Conduct

You agree not to send or otherwise use My Oncor Alerts to make available content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortuous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, or contains hate speech.

You acknowledge that Oncor may or may not pre-screen any text message, email or voice content you provide, but shall have the right, without obligation and in its sole discretion, to pre-screen, refuse, or remove any content you make available, including content that violates these Terms and Conditions.

You agree to provide true, accurate and complete information about yourself during the My Oncor Alerts registration process, and to update this information promptly when it changes. If you provide any information that is untrue or inaccurate, not current, or incomplete, or if we suspect that your information is untrue or inaccurate, not current, or incomplete, we may, in our sole discretion, suspend or terminate such My Oncor Alerts registration and/or access or refuse current or future access. 

3. Rights

By sending text or email messages to Oncor, you grant Oncor the perpetual, irrevocable, and fully sublicensable license to use, distribute, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, publicly perform, and publicly display any and all text message or email content provided by you to Oncor (in whole or in part) and to incorporate such content into other works in any format now known or later developed.

4. Opting Out or Asking Questions. 

To unsubscribe or opt-out of My Oncor Alerts and cancel notification at any time, please visit  www.oncor.com  or call 1.888.313.6862. If you are registered to receive My Oncor Alerts notifications via text message you have the ability to cancel your participation by texting “STOP” to 66267 (Oncor). If you subscribe to email alerts, you may also cancel your participation by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link on a My Oncor Alerts email sent to your registered email address. If you are a recipient of voice notifications, you will have the ability to unsubscribe by dialing 2 during a notification call. If you experience any problems with opting out of My Oncor Alerts, or if you need help or additional information related to My Oncor Alerts, please visit www.oncor.com, text “HELP” to 66267, email us (and include your mobile phone number) at contactcenter@oncor.com or call 1.888.313.6862.

5. Privacy Policy

6. No Guarantee

Oncor is not responsible for incomplete, lost, late, or misdirected messages, including (but not limited to) undelivered messages resulting from any form of filtering by your mobile carrier, service provider, or email server.

7. Text Messages

As an enrollee in the text message notification option of My Oncor Alerts, you will have the ability to send certain messages to Oncor regarding your electric service. You understand and agree that you will receive at least one confirmation text message for each text message sent to Oncor.

The following are supported carriers for text messages:

Major Carriers: AT&T, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, T-Mobile, U>S> Cellular, Alltel, Boost Mobile, and Virgin Mobile.

Minor Carriers: Alaska Communications Systems (ACS), Appalachian Wireless (EKN), Bluegrass Cellular, Cellular One of East Central IL (ECIT), Cellular One of Northeast Pennsylvania, Cincinnati Bell Wireless, Cricket, Coral Wireless (Mobi PCS), COX, Cross, Element Mobile (Flat Wireless), Epic Touch (Elkhart Telephone), GCI, Golden State, Hawkeye (Chat Mobility), Hawkeye (NW Missouri), Illinois Valley Cellular, Inland Cellular, iWireless (Iowa Wireless), Keystone Wireless (Immix Wireless/PC Man), Mosaic (Consolidated or CTC Telecom), Nex-Tech Wireless, NTelos, Panhandle Communications, Pioneer, Plateau (Texas RSA 3 Ltd), Revol, RINA, Simmetry (TMP Corporation), Southern Linc, Thumb Cellular, Union Wireless, United Wireless, Viaero Wireless, and West Central (WCC or 5 Star Wireless), Cellcom, CSpire Wireless.

8. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

YOU EXPRESSLY UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT YOUR PARTICIPATION IN MY ONCOR ALERTS IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK. MY ONCOR ALERTS IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. ONCOR AND ITS OWNERS, DIRECTORS, SUBSIDIARIES, AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, AGENTS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, CONTRACTORS, CONSULTANTS,  LICENSORS, AND SUPPLIERS EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

ONCOR AND ITS OWNERS, DIRECTORS, SUBSIDIARIES, AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, AGENTS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, CONTRACTORS, CONSULTANTS,  LICENSORS, AND SUPPLIERS MAKE NO WARRANTY THAT (A) MY ONCOR ALERTS WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS; (B) MY ONCOR ALERTS WILL BE UNINTERRRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE; OR (C) THE RESULTS THAT MAY BE OBTAINED FROM THE USE OF ONCOR ALERTS WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.

9. LIMITATION ON LIABILITY

YOU EXPRESSLY UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT ONCOR AND ITS OWNERS, DIRECTORS, SUBSIDIARIES, AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, AGENTS, EMPLOYEES, PARTNERS, CONTRACTORS, CONSULTANTS,  LICENSORS, AND SUPPLIERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, USE, DATA OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, EVEN IF ONCOR HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES, RESULTING FROM THE USE OR THE INABILITY TO USE THE MY ONCOR ALERTS, UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR DATA, STATEMENTS OR CONDUCT OF ANY THIRD PARTY REGARIDNG MY ONCOR ALERTS, OR ANY OTHER MATTER RELATING TO MY ONCOR ALERTS.

10. Termination

Oncor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend any portion of or all of the My Oncor Alerts program, in whole or in part, for any reason, with or without notice to you.

11. Applicable Law and Disputes

These Terms and Conditions and our relationship with you regarding My Oncor Alerts are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. You and we agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of any State or Federal court located in Tarrant County, Texas, and you and we hereby waive any jurisdictional, venue or inconvenient forum objections to such courts.

12. Other

These Terms and Conditions contain the entire agreement between you and Oncor regarding the use of My Oncor Alerts, and supersede all prior understandings related to use of My Oncor Alerts or any specific alert option within My Oncor Alerts. If any part of these Terms and Conditions is held invalid or unenforceable, that portion shall be construed in a manner consistent with applicable law to reflect, as nearly as possible, the original intentions of these Terms and Conditions, and the remaining portions shall remain in full force and effect.
